Tayong Dalawa, one of the country’s most watched teleseryes today, is airing its final week starting Monday, September 21, 2009. The nine-month old series will be replaced by the most anticipated team-up of KC Concepcion and Piolo Pascual with Zanjoe Marudo in the Philippine remake of one of Korea’s most successful series, Lovers in Paris.

Lovers in Paris is a story of Vivian, Carlo and Martin caught in a love triangle which blossomed in the world’s most romantic city. Of course the three actors had to go to Paris to shoot some scenes for the show and that makes Lovers in Paris the seventh Philippine series with scenes shot overseas. (Correct me if I’m wrong) I’m assuming you all have a bad memory so I came up with this list just in case you would want to know what the other six are.

Vietnam Rose (ABS-CBN, 2003)

Vietnam Rose is the Philippine’s first Teleserye shot abroad and at the same time Maricel Soriano’s first Teleserye in her career of more than 30 years.  The story revolves around the life of Nguyen Dang Thien Yeu, a Vietnamese woman who left her country and moved to a foreign land to forget her tragic past. Angelica Panganiban, John Estrada, Jay Manalo, Gina Alajar, Rosa Rosal, Chanda Romero, Jason Abalos are also part of the cast of this Joel Lamangan masterpiece.

Hongkong Flight 143 (GMA, 2006)

This special Valentine treat from the Kapuso network only ran for two weeks. It stars Pauleen Luna, Mark Herras and James Blanco. Yeah I know, you haven’t heard of this one.

I Luv NY (GMA, 2006)

This romantic-comedy series brings together ex-loveteam Jolina Magdangal and Marvin Agustin for the first time after they moved from the Kapamilya station to GMA-7.  The series is about the adventures of four friends in New York. To complete the funny and lovable quartet are Strastruck’s Mark Herras and Jennylyn Mercado.

Crazy for You (ABS-CBN, 2006)

It was on September 11, 2006 when Crazy for You was launched worldwide though The Filipino Channel. It was first in the history of Philippine Television.  In the story, Toni Gonzaga plays an OFW in Europe who falls in love with a rich man(Luis Manzano).  Also in the cast are Pokwang, John Pratts, Sandara Park, Roxanne Guinoo and Joseph Bitangcol.

Asian Treasures (GMA, 2007)

Shot in Asian countires like China and Thailand, this action-packed series is said to be one of the most expensive teleseryes in the local television.  It talks about the adventure of two KKK (Kapatirang Kumakalinga sa Kayamanan) members played by Robin Padilla and Angel Locsin who wander throughout the caves of Asia to search for the 10 anting- anting that are said to be the key to the hidden Asian Treasures.

Only You, (ABS-CBN, 2009)

After the success of the Philippine remake of Korea’s My Girl, ABS-CBN offered Kapamilya viewers another localized Koreanovela with an all-star cast. Only You features Angel Locsin as Jillian who pursues her dream of becoming a chef  by studying culinary arts in different Asian countries. She went to Korea with her childhood friend Jonathan (Diether) who has special feelings for her. There she meets and falls in love with TJ (Sam Milby) and that starts the conflict of the story.
